As Japan's sole distributor of Alexandria Professional, founded by sugaring pioneer Lina Kennedy, we promote sugaring as a blend of hair removal and skin care. Beyond offering sugar paste, we provide expert training, develop skilled sugarists, and ensure exceptional treatments for our clients.

There is no sign outside. Please enter from the back of the building (in front of the Shinjuku Ward Office Bicycle Parking) rather than the front (along the main street). It’s in Building 5-9. Once inside, take the elevator to the 4th floor. If you're not sure, check out the Google Maps photos.

Across the building is the “Azabu Police Station”. DO NOT ENTER the main entrance. Please enter the residential entrance. From the corner of “Mercer Brunch” restaurant 1F, turn right and you can see a wooden door on your right. Get inside and press “405”.

In my younger years, I traveled to many countries including South Korea, Vietnam, China, Australia, Malaysia, Hawaii, and various places in the U.S. (like Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York), as well as Canada, the UK, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Egypt, Indonesia, Thailand, Mexico, and Denmark. Since starting Maris Gina, I feel a sense of familiarity when customers from countries I’ve visited come to my salon. However, I struggle with English, which makes it frustrating not being able to communicate effectively.

History

In 2012, we opened a Brazilian wax salon in Akasaka, but due to limited training, we were searching for better techniques. Through our clients, we discovered Alexandria Professional (AP), a leader in sugaring, and recognized its potential for Japan. Despite challenges like language barriers, costly imports, and strict training requirements, we were inspired by AP’s commitment to client care. Determined to offer safer, skin-first treatments, we adopted their sugaring technique, which allows for precise hair removal and improves skin health. Now certified educators, we teach our staff and are committed to spreading the benefits of AP’s sugaring across Japan.

After care is important for sugaring!

The sugaring will give you a more beautiful finish by taking good care at your home. The feature of Sugaring is that it can remove even short hair at 2-3 mm, but if the keratin is clogged or dry, the sugar cannot easily get into the pores and the short hair cannot be removed.

Sun rays are incredibly strong during the summer.
Whenever you leave the house, it is important to protect your skin properly. Revealing your skin to sun rays leads to pigmentation, and even blemishes especially to areas where you have just waxed.
