Waxing
Waxing is a popular and efficient hair removal technique that removes hair from the roots using wax made primarily of resin and other ingredients. Known for its speed, waxing allows for the removal of large areas of hair in one swift motion, making it an affordable and time-saving solution. While the process involves pulling hair in the opposite direction of growth, occasional hair breakage or incomplete removal may occur, often requiring tweezers for precision. Although it may lead to ingrown hairs, waxing is ideal for those seeking a quick and convenient method without focusing on long-lasting results.
Soft Wax / Strip Wax
Applied to the skin in a thin layer in the direction of hair growth. A cloth or paper strip is then placed over the wax and quickly removed to pull the hair out.
Hard Wax /Hot Wax
Applied to the skin in the direction of hair growth. As it solidifies, it adheres to the hair and is then pulled off in the opposite direction of hair growth.
Salon Waxing Guidelines
Hair should be at least one centimeter long for effective waxing. Shorter hairs are harder to remove and may require tweezers, which we use sparingly to prevent ingrown hairs. For shorter hair, we recommend sugaring or waiting for it to grow.
Waxing is a fast and efficient treatment, covering large areas in one motion. The wax is applied with the hair growth and removed against it, though some hairs may naturally break during the process, which can be addressed with touch-ups.
We don’t use wax on areas above the neck (except nasal hair, front neck, and nape) or for male Brazilian waxing. For these, we recommend sugaring or laser hair removal as effective alternatives.
